Downloadable Sounds Working Group (DLSWG)

This group delivered a proposal to the MMA for Downloadable Sounds Level 1 in the fall of 1996. The MMA membership ratified a revised proposal in January 1997 and released the specification to the public later that year. Working with DLSWG members, the MMA has continued development of DLS and released a DLS Level 2 specification in 1999.
